Priorslee Multi Academy Trust is a partnership between two primary academies based in Shropshire.
Priorslee Academy caters for children aged between the ages of three and eleven.
Pupils entering the academy in Reception cover the Early Years Foundation Stage, pupils in Years 1 and 2 follow Key Stage 1 of the National Curriculum. Those children in Years 3, 4, 5, and 6 continue through Key Stage 2. There will be three opportunities over the academic year for parents to meet with teachers. During the Autumn Term is a consultation evening during which individual children’s work and progress may be discussed, and targets set for the year. In the second term there will be an opportunity to discuss your child’s progress and achievement to date. During the Summer Term parents are invited to attend open days with a focus on an aspect of the delivered curriculum.
Provision for children with Special Educational Needs is provided within the normal class structure and supported when necessary by external agencies, such as Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Behaviour Support Team members.
The education of your child is a partnership between school and home. Teaching staff are always available to see parents at the end of the school day. If you have a particular problem or query, then please do not hesitate to contact us. All parents of reception age children will be contacted during the term prior to their entry to full-time education. They will be given an opportunity to experience the school day over several initial visits.
The academy is grateful for the support of a very active ‘Friends of the School’ organisation. They organise a wide range of social functions and offer support for events.

Buildwas Academy is set in a traditional Victorian building in the beautiful countryside close to the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site and Ironbridge Museums. Our position, overlooking the River Severn, adds to the charm.
Our academy is based on a strong tradition, educating children since 1855, using the community and extensive local resources provided by the local and wide Shropshire area.
We are committed to ensuring that all children develop their full potential in a caring, happy, well-organised environment, in which enjoyment of learning, and attitudes of mutual respect and responsibility are promoted. We aim to ensure that children have a broad and balanced curriculum, that work excites and enthuses, ensuring that each week brings new experiences so that staff and pupils enjoy their days at Buildwas.
Children are taught in 4 classrooms including a 12 place pre-school. We offer education for 3 – 11 year olds within the Buildwas, Leighton and Eaton Constantine parishes, as well as the surrounding Telford & Wrekin and Shropshire areas.
If you are interested in your child joining our academy or our purpose-built school pre-school, then please give us a ring or pop in for an application form and further information. Your child can start nursery at the start of the term after they are 3 years old. If you have any questions or need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
